Spark Grimsby is a new support programme to aid those in the creative industries in North East Lincolnshire with the development of their business – whether it’s at concept stage or flourishing and looking to grow.

Spark Grimsby officially launches on Tuesday 26th January via a virtual event. The event will highlight the types of support available – from provision of 1-2-1 advice through to introductions to peer networks – and provide an opportunity for those in the creative industries to meet the Spark Grimsby team.

The launch event will also feature two Grimsby-based keynote speakers: Sam Delaney from Creative Start; and Andy Green from Lyke Ltd.

Aiming to inspire and ignite those working in the creative sector, both speakers will tell their story in their own words.

Sam Delaney provides mentoring in art techniques; and values the use of arts in health. He has provided aftercare for people in recovery since 2005. Sam will provide a honest and open insight into addiction, abstinence-based recovery, and the value of arts in recovery. Sam believes that to share is to grow.

Andy Green is the multi-award winning owner and director of Lyke – a software development company specialising in bespoke solutions.  For a number of years Andy also ran his own charity operating overseas and he has a true passion for social action. Being born with cerebral palsy, Andy knows that nothing is impossible and is determined to prove that.

Entry to the event is free, registration is via the website: www.sparkgrimsby.co.uk

The Spark Grimsby programme supports those across all creative industries from architecture through to fashion and theatre, and extends to students studying creative subjects at GIFHE (Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education).
